Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group dedicated to providing a No-Kill environment for abandoned and abused cats and dogs in Sussex County, Delaware.

Safe Haven received for bids on January 21, 2010 for a General Contractor to construct our "green" building on on Shingle Point Road off Route 9 between Georgetown and Milton.   The contract is to be awarded in February 2010, and the General Contractors has 10 months to complete the building or face daily penalties. We plan to begin operations in our new building in December 2010.

Our new no-kill sanctuary will house 400 cats and dogs at a time and with a proactive adoption policy, we expect to care for about 2,000 animals annually in the building. More.. </
